Pursuant to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and dependant on the number of workers, Employers are legally required to ensure that either a Health and Safety REP or Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is established in all workplaces. Further, it is the Employer's responsibility to ensure that workplace inspections and safety meetings are conducted on a regular basis, as required by law. In addition, Employers must also provide all required certification training for Health and Safety or JHSC members.
As a CPO-approved Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Training Provider, TOTAL Safety Management offers full Health and Safety REP and JHSC Member Certification training. Courses are conveniently scheduled to assist Employers with operational scheduling and budgeting and can be completed on a part-time basis, including weekends. Both Health and Safety REP and JHSC Certification training include in-class instruction, all required manuals and materials and participant evaluations. Successful participants receive both a wall certificate and wallet card, as well as complimentary academic tracking and re-currency training reminder notification service.
