Improperly trained Workers represent a significant liability for Employers. This is further complicated if a Worker is operating a vehicle or piece of equipment or machinery. Not only can they present a safety risk to themselves. But, they can also pose an increased risk to other Workers or civilians. In the event of an injury or more significant incident, the Employer may be subject to prosecution under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations or Criminal Code of Canada. In addition, they may also be subject to additional fines, increased WSIB premiums, higher insurance rates and civil litigation.

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations, Employers are legally required to ensure that all Workers using or operating vehicles and/or equipment are properly trained by an accredited and qualified Training Provider. This includes certification and/or licensing for both initial and re-current training. As part of their proactive workplace inspections, the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) will routinely request proof-of-training for Workers. It is the legal duty of the Employer to, not only track all employee training, but be able to produce accurate records upon demand.

From initial Employee training and competency assessments to a comprehensive review and analysis of your Education and Training program, our customized services include:
