Joint Health and Safety Certification-PART 1
This 3-day training program is designed for Employees and Supervisors and/or Managers who have been selected to become certified members of the company's Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). As Part 1 of the mandatory two-part JHSC certification program, participants must successfully complete a written Theory test. The JHSC-Part 1 program includes:
- OHSA Legislation and Regulations
- Rights of Workers
- Internal Responsibility System (IRS)
- Workplace Duties and Responsibilities
- MOL Enforcement
- Workplace Hazards
- Work Refusals and Stoppages
- Report Writing
- Workplace Inspections
- Hazard Assessments
- Incident Investigations
Included in the course are all manuals, workbooks and hand-outs, as well as full academic tracking for participants. This includes a reminder service for mandatory refresher training. Students receive both a wall certificate and wallet card.
