Worker Killed in Industrial Accident

FALL FROM HEIGHTS CLAIMS A WORKER's life

A 60-year old Worker died of injuries after falling from a scissor lift at an industrial site in Richmond Hill  The Worker was carrying out work on the roof when he fell from the lift and sustained cortical injuries.  The male was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

 

This incident highlights the importance of approved Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training and ensuring Workers are tied off at all times while operating AWP equipment while maneuvering on the ground or when working at height.
