November 13, 2019

A 24-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a cement truck near Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West on Wednesday morning, police say.

Police say the man was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the truck, which was heading eastbound on Lawrence and making a turn onto Keele just before 11 a.m.

The 60-year-old cement truck driver remained on the scene.

Police said they continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to contact the police directly or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
